Keene ICE
COVID-19 Re-Opening Plan

Revised Keene ICE re-opening protocols: Keene ICE has been operating safely for this season
since July 25, 2021 with the following provisions:
• Keene ICE has returned, almost entirely, to “business as usual.”
Effective 2/18/2022, Keene ICE will no longer require face coverings for visitors to the
arena. We strongly encourage visitors to wear masks in the arena and will continue to
have masks available for those who request them.
o Please understand that individual ice users (i.e, USA Figure Skating, SAU 29,
Keene State College, etc) may still require the use of face coverings during their
scheduled events here at the arena and we will support those requirements.
Visitors who are unwilling or unable to comply with the requirements of these
users will be asked to leave the arena.
• There are no time limitations on ice users in the building; there is no screening or
contact tracing; locker rooms, washrooms, showers & water fountains are fully open;
there are no COVID-19 related spectator restrictions; pre-registration is no longer
required for public skate or stick-times
• Water bottles and towels may NOT be shared
• Users may NOT spit on the ice, benches or floors
Keene ICE will adapt its business processes in the following ways:
• Hand sanitizer will continue to be available in multiple locations throughout the building
and we encourage visitors to use sanitizer frequently
• Locker rooms, benches and high-touch surfaces will be thoroughly disinfected at least
once per day
• Though we are experiencing staffing and supply chain challenges similar to many other
industries, our pro shop & snack bar will operate normally to whatever extent possible
Keene ICE asks the following of its visitors:
• PLEASE do not come to the rink if you have been in contact with someone who has
tested positive for COVID-19, if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or if you
have recently traveled to any area experiencing an abnormal surge in COVID-19 cases
• Please get vaccinated or boosted for COVID-19 if you are eligible to do so. A resurgence
of COVID-19 in our community could again restrict our ability to maintain normal
operations
• Please exercise reasonable precautions while in our building or in other community
settings such as social distancing, face covering and hand washing whenever
appropriate
These provisions are subject to change as necessary, to be determined by Keene ICE, The City of Keene
and the State of New Hampshire.
